The Vice President congratulated the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, on the initiative, applauding the State Government’s commitment to modern infrastructure capable of supporting effective revenue mobilisation and efficient service delivery. He described the edifice as second only to the Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS) headquarters in Abuja.
In her remarks, the Executive Chairman of KWIRS, Shade Omoniyi, thanked His Excellency Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for his vision and support that made the project a reality and appreciated guests and stakeholders for gracing the occasion. She noted that the Revenue House was more than a physical structure, but a major step in the transformation of revenue administration in Kwara State.
Omoniyi assured that the edifice would provide a befitting working environment for staff, strengthen operational capacity and enhance efficient, transparent and taxpayer-focused service delivery.
The event was well attended by a wide array of dignitaries, including the Vice President, Senator Kashim Shettima, Governors of Imo, Bayelsa, Kaduna, Kebbi, Ondo, Ogun, Gombe, Ekiti and Plateau States; Deputy Governors of Oyo, Jigawa, Sokoto, Borno, Zamfara, Anambra, Ondo, Kano, Nasarawa and Katsina States; Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Prince Lateef Fagbemi; Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Jumoke Oduwole; Chairman of BUA Group, Alhaji Abdulsamad Rabiu; Chairman, Nigeria Revenue Service (NRS), Dr Zacch Adedeji; Executive Secretary, Joint Revenue Board (JRB), Mr Olusegun Adesokan.
Also in attendance were the Kwara State Deputy Governor, Mr. Kayode Alabi, members of the Kwara State House of Assembly, State Commissioners, KW-IRS Management, members of the press, selected staff of the Service, dignitaries and other invited guests.
